USE
The French industrial hemp sector's stakeholders cultivate the plant and process its seeds and straw to diversify hemp use, particularly in human and animal food, textiles, construction, plastics, paper-making, cosmetics, gardening, etc. Hemp is the subject of numerous research projects aimed at developing high-value markets.

CULTIVATION
Hemp cultivation is carried out without phytosanitary treatments, without irrigation, while improving the yield of subsequent cereal crops. Additionally, hemp acts as a carbon sink by storing CO2 and is a biodiversity haven. The sector, entirely French from variety selection to processing, creates non-relocatable jobs in territories; it is an example in terms of sustainable cultivation.
Hemp cultivation promotes sustainable development and contributes to achieving 10 of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. For companies engaged in social and environmental initiatives wishing to strengthen their impact, InterChanvre offers the Hemp PES contract.
